I am not making a statement about cosmetic surgery, but this book raises a lot of questions about what we are teaching the next generation. From what I understand the book is a tool for mums to explain to their kids that because they are “ugly” they need to have a tummy tuck and nose job to make them “beautiful”. Complete with pectorally enhanced Dr. Michael the plastic surgeon this book doesn’t seem to err on the side of acceptance and positive self image. And guess what… it is due for release on Mothers Day. So not sure what kind of message the mums will get if they receive this book from their kids without having had plans for plastic surgery of any kind! )
