Don’t feed the animals

Well it is that time of the year when the kids are back at school, and you have to start thinking about packing lunches in the morning and getting out of the house in one piece. Well to add a bit of fun to the experience I love these animal lunch packs by Built NY available at Cradle Rock.

Playmats that hit the spot!

My daughter has just learnt to sit up and as she’s sadly outgrown her playmat, it got me thinking we needed to cover our hardwood floors with something other than a sheepskin rug!!

Skip Hop’s Playspot interlocking foam tiles are a modern and innovative soft floor surface that keeps your child comfortable and cushioned for endless playing while complimenting your home’s decor. While Playspot is not cheap at rrp $199, Playspot is large in size and large in style! They come in three different colour schemes and you can configure them in endless ways to suit your style. Available from Bebe Online.

The Hand That Rocks The Cradle

What’s better than a funky and stylish cradle? A funky and stylish cradle that comes with a connecting rocking chair, and also turns into a rocking horse. Leather straps join the cradle and chair, so you can rock the cradle as you rock. Then when baby is too big for a cradle you can turn it into a rocking horse. I don’t think it can get any better! Available from Kids Love Design

Baby’s achievements

I admit I loved collecting badges at Brownies and Girl Guides, so I immediately had a chuckle when I saw these baby merit badges (again from Twisted Twee who always make me laugh). I think my daughter qualifies for the whole set!

Talk to the hand

Until I had a baby I practically never took photographs, but now my iPhoto library is full of photos of my daughter. I found this set from Twisted Twee, and I would be tempted to dress my little one in it before she goes to Grandmas!

Mothers Market

I recently went along to a local Mothers Market, and I have to say I was impressed with the talent and creativity, and unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) for me I had accidently left my wallet at home, and my spending was thus curbed! I did manage to borrow some money off a friend and came away with the cutest plush owl.

Check out some of the talent and most stall holders either have online sales, or you could email for more details…

Gorgeous dresses that I salivated over from Loz & Dinny:

Baby Hoot had stunning blankets, and this cute little owl with ribbon tags on the bottom. It has become Tallulah’s favourite bedtime toy!

Miss Haidee had the cutest swimwear for both mums, bubs and kids, as well as teeny maxi dresses straight out of woodstock (yes I salivated over these as well!)

Cherish had beautiful emroidered and patchwork quilts, cute clothing and the ultimate santa sacks!

Dick & Dora featured acrylic brooches and funky christmas decorations:

There were many more worthy stallholders, featuring all manner of things from christmas cookies, to cards, homewares, photography, hair accessories, toys etc. I will definitely be keeping my ear to the ground for the next one!

Taste of Tiffany & Co

In the Christmas theme…. if you are looking to give your baby a taste of luxury this Christmas, why not splurge on the sterling silver Tiffany 1837 Teething Ring Rattle . At AU$205 you’d be wanting some serious soothing to result, but if the little blue box has never come your way then maybe you can pass one on to the next generation!

More than just your average book

I just received in the mail the Gallop: A Scanimation Picture Book that we ordered to put under the Christmas tree for our little one. It is so cool that you will find yourself mesmerised! As you turn the page the animals appear to be in motion.

Protect their little knees

My lifesaver product at the moment would have be Baby Legs (among other things). Ever since Tallulah started crawling we have found these leg warmers to be a great tool for saving her knees from carpet burn as she scrambles around. They come in a variety of colours and patterns and are great to just whip on with a legless onesieĀ  or singlet etc, and make nappy changing easier too! The other bonus is that they work from smallish babies up to kids, and can become ankle warmers or arm bands etc for the bigger kids!
